Same stone with Orville Bellamy her son

See Bellomy, Lucretta Isabelle "Belle" Oakland Cemetery, Cass Co. Mo. for obit and bio.Spelling in records is Bellamy and Bellomy, with Bellomy favored. Note; Marker is BellAmy, obit is BellOmy, death cert is BellAmy.
"Belle" was born in Appleton City, St. Clair Co, MO and was the sixth of ten children born to Joel Franklin and Matilda Ann (Rigg) Bellomy. She died as result of the Cass County flu epedemic in the early 1920s.

Maiden and married name was Bellomy.

COD: Labor Pneunomia/influenza; died during the epedemic that lasted from late 1918 to early 1922.

Obituary: Lucretta Isabelle Bellomy 1857-1920
Lucretta Isabelle Bellomy was bon March 9, 1857 and died in Harrisonville, Friday, February 17, 1920 aged 62 years, 11 months and 13 days. She was married February 25, 1881, to William Bellomy. To this union one son, Orville, was born. He died November 22, 1903.
While a young girl she united with the Baptist Church and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Harrisonville to the time of her death. She leaves surviving her two brothers, Robert Bellomy of Independence, Mo, and Melvin Bellomy of Gravet, Ark, and a host of local friends who sincerely mourn her death.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Elmer Lyon at her home on Green Street in this city, at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, February 28, 1920. Burial was at the Oakland Cemetary.

Notes:
Husband William Bellomy was a cousin, son of her uncle William (brother of her father Joel) and Clarisa Bellomy.

"Maimed from birth" per 1880 census; unclear what the disability was. 1870 showed her as attending school with no reference to a disability.

IMPORTANT: Buried as Belle BellAmy at Highland cemetery (now Oakland), Harrisonville, but her published obit was for Lucretta Isabelle "Belle" BellOmy. Possibly her husband William spelled his name as BellAmy altho he is listed in obit as BellOmy. She has double stone with son, Orville BellAmy, whose obit is BellAmy. Lucretta/Lucrita married in 1881 (per her obit) and was listed as widow by the 1900 census, so they are not shown together in a census record. She was actually separated as her husband appears as William L.B. Bellomy in Bates Co in 1900 census as follows:
1900 census: Name: William L B Bellomy Home in 1900: Hudson, Bates, Missouri Age: 48 Est birth year: abt 1852; Birthplace: Iowa Brother-in-law Household Members: BELLOMY: Slonzo/51, Nancy/53, Ana O/17 Benjamin C/16, Bessie R/12. BELLOMY: William L.B./48/brother-in-law {shown as Feb 1862, Iowa/OH/OH, married 14 years.
There is no wife living there -- or nearby as nearly as can be determined}. William was a brother of Nancy, and BIL of Nancy's husband, Leonardis "Alonzo"

The Joel Bellomy birth/marriage and death list dated 1929 (in this submitter's possession) does not include a marriage or child for Lucretta, but does provide her birth and death dates.
Lucretta is not shown as having children in the 1900 census, altho her son, Orville, didn't die until 1903. Orville does not appear with her in the home where she is listed as a widow* and is a servant, in Harrisonville, Cass Co MO. In the 1910 census she indicates that she had one child, no longer living, she is a widow and her relationship to the family she is living with is "nurse".
Son Orville does appear as Arthur BellAmy in the 1900 census as a servant in Pecular, Cass Co., near where Lucretta is living and is also a servant. Arthur and Orville are clearly the same person.

*note 1900, "Belle's" husband is the William identified as her cousin, and is in fact still living with his sister and husband (who is Belle's brother) in Bates Co Mo, where he is listed as married, but there is no identifiable wife in the area. Belle also indicated in that census that she had no children, when she had a son who was working and living near her. This is a puzzle, perhaps for her employment she needed to be single? Or the stigma of being divorced or separated was too much for her to admit. By 1910 she listed widow and one chlld, none living; which was true. Her son died 1903 and her husband 1906.

Listed as Jessabelle in BELLOMY family list.

Lucretia is shown as attending school tho in 1880 she is shown as unable to read/write. There is no reference to a disability for Lucretia, altho Roselle/Rozell is shown as "idiot".

1880 census: BellOmy - Name: Lucretia J. Bellomy Home in 1880: Bogard, Henry, Missouri Age: 23/abt 1857/MO/daughter.Father's name: Joel F./OH Mother's birthplace: Ohio Occupation: Keeping House, Marital Status: Single - Cannot read/write: Idiotic or insane: "Maimed from birth"

1900 census, Harrisonville, Cass Co MO: BellOmy, Belle: Home in 1900: Harrisonville, Cass, Missouri, Age: 42/1858/MO/wd. Relationship to head-of-house: Servant
Household Members: INLOW Richard/33, Famie/33, Ellis/5, Lucile/2, Eva 4 mo. BELLOMY, Belle/42.
1910 census: BellAmy - Name: Isabell L Bellamy/53/abt 1857/MO. Relation to Head of House: Nurse Home in 1910: Grand River Ward 1, Cass, Missouri Marital Status: Widowed Household Members: BURCH, Alonzo L/32, Lula L/28, BELLAMY, Isabell L./53/widow/1 child-0 living. Question: Belle's brother, Leonardis Levi, was known as Alonzo -- is Alonzo Burch related?

Note: A mystery is who erected the lovely marker for Belle and her son, Orville. Belle was close to her sister, Amanda Bellomy Blazer, and Amanda's children -- it may be that Belle's niece erected the marker, or that Belle erected it when her son died and arranged to have her DOD added. Her niece was the informant on Belle's death certificate - Ann Blazer (Mrs Edward Woolard). The mothers maiden name of "Hale" shown on death cert is in error, her mother was Matilda Ann Rigg. After Matilda died in 1880 Joel married Cornelia Ann Hale, who would have been the only wife of Joel that the informant would have known as her grandmother. Perhaps she didn't know that Cornelia was a stepmother.
