Alta Mae Walls 79, of Griffithville, Arkansas went to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus, on February 1, 2010 She was born December 19, 1930 to the late Louis Henry and Lena Mae Meriwether.
Alta was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Mr. Joseph Charles Walls, one brother, James Alvie Meriwether, one sister, Ruthie Lee Meriwether, three children; Jo Ann Walls, Judy Mae Walls and Charles Adwin Walls, four grandchildren; Charles Joseph Hill, Timothy Prior, April Michelle Dyer and Eric Ray Hill
She is survived by her two sons, Alvin Dewey Walls of Springfield, Missouri and Johnnie Joe Walls of Des Arc, Arkansas, four Daughters, Rosie Lee Bush of Pumpkin Bend, AR, Mary Jane Dyer of Romance, AR, Rose Mary Louise Fowler and Lillie Mae Auxier both of Griffithville, AR. Two sisters; Margie Lee Bramel of McCrory, AR and Mary Lou Gaston of Patterson., twenty-six grandchildren , thirty two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.
Visitation will be held 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2010 with the funeral service beginning at 2 P.M at Dogwood United Methodist Church in Griffithville, Arkansas under the direction of Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.
Interment will follow the service at Dogwood Cemetery in Griffithville, Arkansas
