She was the daughter of William Ward Burrows and Mary (Bond). She was baptized 27 Mar 1785 at Kinderton Farm, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, by The Right Rev. William White, First Presiding Bishop of the Protestant Episcopal Church in America. Godparents: Mr. Sim and Miss Sally Bond. She married General James Thompson on 31 May 1803, in Washington City. She was buried 2 Apr 1848.

1) Mary Cecilia Thompson, b. 25 Feb 1804 in Washington D.C., Baptized Georgetown Christ Church Parish, Washington D.C., by The Rev. Gantt. d. 27 Apr 1833 in Mexico City, Mexico; Buried Mexico City, Mexico. Gravestone: Oak Hill Cemetery, Georgetown, Washington D.C. m. Michael Esperance Hersant (1799-1867) on 22 Apr 1823, St Patrick's Catholic Church, Washington, D.C., by The Rev. Fr. William Mathews. 5 children. (Michael was the son of Michael Pierre Dominique de Hersant).

2) John Thompson, b. 13 Jun 1805, Washington, D.C.; d. 20 Jun 1805.

3) William Henry Thompson, b. 7 Jul 1806, Washington, D.C.; d. 3 Sep 1806.
