Placed in 2014 by her grandson, Richard. According to legal documents, this is how Wilhelmine signed and spelled her name, but some say she also used Wilhelmina. The married date is according to information discovered after the findagrave post.

This photo was contributed by great-granddaughter, Barbara Rexroat of MO. She suspects this is a photo from their 23 Mar 1873 wedding in St Louis. Here is an excerpt from her caption: "We knew that Hermann lived in the United States for a time before Wilhelmina (Minna) came over from Germany. However, it wasn't until I discovered the ship's passenger list that I read that Hermann had gone back to Germany to bring her to the United States (St. Louis). He was on the same passenger list. It also confirmed that he had been to St. Louis first because it listed that city as where his journey originated.

Also, my great-grandfather was a painter and I've found several city directories from St. Louis advertising his painting business. Each year, his ad got a bit bigger in the directory. However, sadly for my great-grandmother, Hermann died in 1896 from lead poisoning. He mixed all his own paints in his home in the basement and lead was a key ingredient at that time.
