Mrs. Ethel Conklin, 67, of 218 W. Goguac st., died in a local hospital at 8:30 a.m. today following an illness of two months. She was born on April 2, 1890, in Clio, a daughter of Winfred and Anna (McAllister) Clarke, and came to Battle Creek in 1930. In 1942 in Toledo, Ohio, she married Jesse J. Conklin who survives. Other survivors are a son and daughter by a previous marriage, Max Kummer of Flint and Mrs. Frank (Beatrice) Dunn of Grand Blanc; a brother; Grover Clarke of Flint, 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
