VIOLET OLSON
Violet A. Olson, 93, longtime resident of Hayward, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, March 6 at the Northridge Center assisted care living facility in Medford, OR
where she had resided for the past six years.
Violet Ada was born Feb. 22, 1907 in Spring Valley, WI the daughter of Hans and Clara Thompson of Seeley, WI. She was united in marriage to Norman G. Olson on Sept. 26, 1926 and
worked as a dietary aide at Hayward High School for several years. Violet was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Hayward and was an active member of its Ladies Aide. She
enjoyed quilting.
She is survived by four children, Robert N. (Mabel) Olson, Hayward, Betty J. (Brent) Snodgrass, Naples, FL, Richard G. Olson, Sierra Vista, AZ, and Donald J. (Janene) Olson, Central
Point, OR; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Mike Thompson of Cable.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman, and her daughter, Shirley Ann Jordan, both in 1988; two brothers, Herbert and Thomas Thompson; and two sisters, Hazel
Piggott and Frieda Jensen.
The funeral will be held at the Anderson-Nathan Funeral Home at a later date in the spring. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hayward.
The Anderson-Nathan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
