Wife of Jacob Henry Gearhart, married 27 March 1890, in Randolph Co, IN. She was the 3rd child & 2nd daughter of Lucinda (nee Smith) Wheeler & Ezekial Wheeler. Sister of Jeremeah Wheeler, Alice Wheeler & A. J. Wheeler. Anna was mother of Glenn Ezekial Gearhart & Mabel Lucille (nee Gearhart) Mills.
When Anna was about 2 years old, her father Ezekial enlisted to fight in the Civil War & died soon after his enlistment. Anna was taken into the home of her aunt, Mrs. Simon Gray, who raised her. After her marriage with Jcob, they lived for about the first six years near Winchester as he worked at tile manufacturing & then in the grocery business. They then purchased their home about a mile north of Winchester where Jacob entered into farming, and where they remained except a brief time in Winchester. Anna was a member of the Friends Church.
