MRS. WILLIAM MARTIN
[Funeral services for Mrs. William Martin, 68, Pulaski resident, were held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Bennett-May Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. H. G. Coston, Baptist minister. Burial took place in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Mrs. Martin died at 3:30 o'clock on Monday afternoon, March 14, at her home on Childers Street, after two months illness. #The former Miss Dezzie Beatrice Pillow, she was born November 17, 1891, in Giles County, the daughter of the late Tom Pillow and Sam Ella Cashion Pillow. She was a member of the Methodist Church at Cedar Grove. #Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband, William Martin; five sons, Chester Martin, Fayetteville, Mahlon Martin and Melvin Martin, Giles County, Gene Martin, Lewisburg, and Billy Martin, Chicago, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Freeman, and Mrs. Sam Ella Story, both of Giles County, and Mrs. Katherine [should be Kathleen] Tarpley, Wisconsin; ten grandchildren; two brothers, Roy Pillow, Memphis; and four sisters, Mrs. Ira Englett, Mrs. George Dodson and Mrs. Joe Tidwell, Pulaski, and Mrs. J.D.
