Freeport's oldest resident, Benjamin Campbell passed away on Wednesday, July 26th, 1967 at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Watson CROCKER. Mr Campbell was Born in Freeport, 103 years ago, a son of the late Benjamin and Julia Teed Campbell. Surviving are two daughters, (Myrtle) Mrs. Walter Floyd, (Violet) Mrs. Alton MacNeil, a sister Mrs. Lena Robinson, four grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral was held at the Freeport United Baptist Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. W. IDESON, assisted by Rev. J.W. DERBY. Internment was in Brookside Cemetery.
