HEMET MERVILLE J. (PETE) BOEHM Pete Boehm of Hemet passed away March 12, 2010, at the age of 91. He was born on April 7, 1918 to parents John and Lucy (Nockerts) Boehm in rural Green Bay, WI. He married Emma Young of Marion, VA in 1943. They resided in Temple City, CA from 1946-82, when they retired to Hemet. Following Emma\'s death in 1986, Pete married Wanda B. Carlson in 1987, and they enjoyed 22 years together. Pete served in the U.S. Army from 1941-45. After working in the private sector, he joined the Los Angeles Police Department in 1948, retiring as a detective 30 years later. Subsequently, he was a sales representative for Precision Auto Parts and Carter Carburetor for four years. He was preceded in death by his daughter K. Susan Doss in 1998. Survivors include his wife, Wanda; his three children, two stepchildren, 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 19th, at 10 a.m. at the Hemet United Methodist Church, with internment following at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier. Friends may visit on Thursday, March 18th, from 5-7 p.m. at Miller-Jones Mortuary in Hemet.
