Syl was a graduate of Bay View High School and went on to become an honorary graduate of Ripon College. He was a successful restaurateur for over 40 years with a proud foundation rooted in Serbian heritage, being a son of one of St. Sava's charter members. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be used to establish a foundation at the 128th/440th Community Council, c/o 1831 E. He always enjoyed life most when he was with his family or working with his hands. He admired his children and loved us all so deeply, that we always knew we were safe and taken care of. Our marriage of over 70 ½ years was a very special one."
