Pauline Miller, 78, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in Chico, CA. She was surrounded by her family. Pauline was born August 28, 1931 in Bentonville, AR. Pauline traveled with her family of six to Marysville, CA in a 1930 Ford Model A coupe in 1936. She graduated from Marysville High School in 1949. In 1950, she married Melvin Miller and they had two daughters, Christine and Carol.

In 1975, Melvin and Pauline moved to Billings where they lived until 1992. After Mel's retirement, they built a home on the Stillwater River in Nye, MT. They were active members of the Nye Community Church. In 2005, they moved to Chico, CA to be near their children and family. Pauline loved to quilt, garden and cook. Most of all, she loved being with her family. Her two granddaughters were the joy of her life. Throughout her life, Pauline shared her Christian faith by sharing her love and opening her heart and home to her friends.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Almon Anthony and her brother, Richard.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin; daughter, Christine and husband, Ken Miller; daughter, Carol and husband, Jim Wroge and two granddaughters, Jennelle Wroge and Kendra Miller. Also survived by brothers, Charles, Howard and Cleo Anthony and sisters, Maxine Pemelton and Louise Smallen, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Newton-Bracewell Chico Funeral Home in Chico, CA. There will be a viewing at 10:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.

Pauline's wish was that in lieu of flowers, memorials would be donated to charity of choice in her name, c/o Newton-Bracewell.
