LISBON - Daniel M. Ulbrich, Jr., 85, passed away peacefully at 11:50am, Friday, October 9, 2010 at the Alliance Community Hospital.
Mr. Ulbrich was born October 6, 1925 in East Palestine, a son of the late Daniel M. and Rose Marie (Emilich) Ulbrich, Sr., and had lived his entire life in the area.
He worked in the maintenance department at Crane Deming Pump for 28 years, retiring in 1991.
A WWII U.S. Army Veteran, he was also a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in East Palestine.
His wife, Doris (Newcomer) Ulbrich, whom he married July 10, 1946, preceded him in death March 29, 1991.
He is survived by his daughter, Darlee (Ray) Metzgar of Salem; sons, Danny L. (Joyce) Ulbrich and Duryea C. (Barbara) Ulbrich, both of Lisbon; sisters, Dorothy Mazerich of Detroit, MI, Erma Baum of Petersburg, Ohio, and Willa Buhecker of New Waterford, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Clark Ulbrich.
Private funeral services were held at 2pm, Friday, October 15, 2010 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark R. Wilds officiating.
