--Otto Laabs, a most promising youth of seventeen years died the middle of last week at the house of Herman Behling in this city and was buried Sunday at the German Evangelical church at Liberty Ridge. He was affected by a disease of the brain and was brought from his home in the country to Mr. Behling's so as to be near physicians for treatment, but the generous efforts of his loving friends were unavailing. He was the son of Wm. Laabs of North Lancaster. He was accounted a most exemplary young man, a member of the Liberty church, confirmed two years ago, faithful to his vows and much loved by his associates. A very large assembly attended the funeral and heard a beautiful and effecting sermon by the Rev. Nabholz.
