He was youngest child on 1850 census, and in 1860, was 19 yrs with his mother and father; then, after his father's death in 1875, he apparently lived with his widowed mother, until her death. He farmed, was a mason, and in 1900, was employed as a plumber; he owned his home. He was always listed as "single" on the census, so probably never married. No mar. record was found.
New Hampshire Death records show his death on Jan 17, 1910, at New Hampton, Belknap, NH, and that he had lived there 'his whole life' and that cause of death was "uremia, which he had for several months."
