Funeral services for Joe Jack Lyle, 81, of Gilmer, were Sept. 5, 2011, at Antioch Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Grice Cemetery in Upshur County. Mr. Lyle passed away Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at his residence.
Mr. Lyle was born Sept. 16, 1929, in Big Sandy to Horace and Ola Langford Lyle. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War. He married Norma Dell Morris in the Grice Community on Dec. 30, 1954.
