JAMES RALPH JORDAN, 81, Columbia

Graveside services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 1 p.m. in the Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery for Mr. James Ralph Jordan, 81, of Columbia who died Friday, Sept. 9 in Hattiesburg. Dr. Bryant Barnes, Bro. Tom Thurman and Bro. Brian Stewart officiated at the services. Visitation was held Tuesday, Sept. 13, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Mr. Jordan was born on April 15, 1930 to the late John W. and Frances Jordan. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Columbia. He was an Iron Worker, who loved the Lord, his grandchildren, and his church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Earnie Lee (Evans) Jordan; five brothers, Mack Alvin Jordan, Carl Jordan, Howard Jordan, Wilt Jordan, and Everette Jordan, and a sister, Louise Bullin.

Survivors include two sons, James Randall Jordan (Debbie) of Keller, Texas and Timothy Ralph Jordan of Columbia; daughter, Sherrie Winters (Daniel) of Columbia; a brother, Thomas Earl Jordan (Mary) of Lucedale; three grandchildren, Mathew Winters, Amanda Robertson and Jason Schaffer; great grandson, Tucker Levi Robertson; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Hathorn Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
