She was born on March 30, 1928, in Mt. Carmel, IL, she was the daughter of Floyd Axton and Ada Builderback Axton. She married Harley Melford "Windy" Banks and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Kenny Banks of Bridgeport, Tracy Banks of Sumner and John Banks of Sumner; six daughters, Mae Boone of Pioneer, CA, Sherry Knox of Bridgeport, Becky Fritchie of Linden, TN, Jean Williams of Belen, NM, Ada Gravitt of Hudson, CO, and Connie Mays of Cincinnati, OH; 25 grandchildren and 33 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one stepson.
Funeral services and burial were held Friday, May 7, 2004, at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery, Lawrenceville, IL.
