Funeral Services were held Oct. 27 at the Draper Community center in Colcord with Edward Billups officiating. Burial was in the Dickson Cemetery under direction of Wasson Funeral Home.
John was the son of Anzel and Rebecca Brown Cherry. He was a retired dairy farmer. He was stationed at Camp Funston Ks. during WW1 and where the Flu outbreak of 1918 started. He was a member of the Row church of god.
He is survived by his wife Sadie Marie Beck Cherry, of the home. Three sons Elzie, Siloam Spgs Ar. Alvin of Tulsa and Jerry of Gentry Ar.. Five Daughters, Idabell Chamberlain of Colcord; Velva Lou Kinion of Baxter Spgs. Ks.; Glenda Fae Owens and Betty Sue Maples of Siloam Spgs Ar. and Deanna Hope Allen of Colcord; a sister Lela Javens
