William M. Martin, 75, died in a hospital in Upland, Calif. He was a resident of Silver City for the past 15 years and was visiting in California. He is a retired construction contractor and a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his three brothers, Coleman of Benson, Ariz., James of Los Angeles, and H. Edward of Silver City; three sisters, Mrs. Bea Sonny of Cal Mesa, Calif., Mrs. Edna Ruth Hogue of Ontario, Calif., and Mrs. Grace Cummings of Silver City. Funeral services were held in the Curtis Mortuary Chapel on Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Neal Nicolay of the Arenas Valley Community Church officiating. Interment and military services followed in the Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Pete Moore, Frank Selman, Leroy Smith, Johnny McDonald, Jim McCauley and Walter L. Wilson.
