Naomi Rymer Shepler, 71, 520 Idlewood Drive, died Friday (Feb. 9, 2001) at her residence after an extended illness.

Born June 16, 1929, in Ellenboro, W. Va., Mrs. Shepler was a daughter of the late Fay Drucilla Brannon and Orval B. Rymer. Educated in the Pennsboro, W. Va. schools, she was a homemaker. She attended New Covenant Christian Fellowship.

Survivors include husband Kenneth W. Shepler, whom she married on Aug. 14, 1949; three sons, Thomas W. Shepler, Salisbury, Gregory W. Shepler, Lexington, and Randall A. Shepler, Singapore; daughter Debra D. Krieg, Charleston, W. Va.; sisters Evalena Moneypenny, Columbus, Ohio, Sylvia Freeland, Parkersburg, W. Va., and Nedra Paugh, Atlanta; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg, W.Va. Burial, Masonic Cemetery, West Union.

Visitation: 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Summersett Funeral Home.
