Mrs. Florence E. Dotson, 86, of Neodesha, Wilson County, KS, died Monday, Mar 8, 1982 at 12:32 p.m. at the Golden Keys Nursing Home.
Mrs. Dotson was born Jan 7, 1896 in rural Neodesha, the daughter of David Charles and Rebecca A. (Whitaker) Bryson. In Jun 1916, she was united in marriage to Rollie R. Jaynes, and he preceded her in death in 1947. She then married William Dotson and he preceded her in death in Jun 1969.
She attended the First Christian Church and was a homemaker. She had lived in Neodesha most of her life.
Survivors include three sons, Rollie Jaynes of Alvin, TX, Frank Jaynes of Topeka, KS and Bob Jaynes of Neodesha; two daughters, Mrs. Jick (Lois) Davis of Protection, KS, Mrs. Tom (Phyliss) Coven, of Ottawa, IL; one step-son Joe Dotson, Kansas City; three step-daughters, Mrs. Delorce Dodge of Concord, CA, Mrs. Betty Clayton, Coffeyville, KS; 13 Grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Wilma.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Mar 10, 1982 at 2 p.m. at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home with the Rev. Lemert Whitmer officiating. Burial will be in the Neodesha Cemetery.
A memorial in Mrs. Dotson's memory has been established with the Golden Keys Nursing Home.
