Walter Hall

Walter W. Hall, 73, Rock Springs, died Wednesday. He has been residing at the Sage View Care Center since January.

He was born Oct. 15, 1928, in Putnam, Ill. He attended schools in Putnam.

He married Loretta Kare in Spareland, Ill., on Feb. 26, 1954.

He served in the Korean War. He was employed by J.B.'s restaurant as a cook until January 2002.

Survivors include wife Loretta Hall of Rock Springs; one son, Gary Hall of Rock Springs; two daughters, Penny and husband Mike Williams of Rock Springs, and Connie and Kevin Kohl of Evanston; one sister, Rosemary Davis of Henry, Ill.; three grandchildren, four great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ben Hall, Carl Hall and Art Hall, his parents and one sister, Lois Brittan.

Military graveside services were yesterday at the Veterans Section of the Mountain View Cemetery.
