Unfortunately, baby Clara only lived for 13 days and died from heart failure on 25 Feb 1899.
Sadly, her mother Arminda died the following day on the 26th of February 1899 from dropsy which is an illness new mother's sometimes developed after the birth of a child. Dropsy usually kills the mother within 10 days of the birth of the child, but Arminda lived for 14 days after the birth of Clara.
Both Arminda and Clara were buried on February 28, 1899 in Montrose Cemetery in Montrose, Genesee Co., Michigan (per their death certificates).
