After new research and documents,
it appears Isaac Long II was
born in Tennessee. It's not
known if his parents were still
in Sevier County, Tn., at this time
or they had moved to McMinn Co.,
Tennessee.

Isaac Long 11 was the son of
John Long 11 and Elizabeth
'Allen.' Elizabeth was John
Long II first wife. He was the
grandson of Rev. George W. Long 1
and Nancy Elizabeth 'Maples' Long.
Also John R. Allen and Mary
'Dawson.'

He was named after his father,
John Long 11, younger brother,
Isaac Long.

Children of Isaac Long 11 and Diana 'Wells'
Long listed in order were:
Sarah - b. 1854 in Georgia
William Taylor - b. 1855 in Georgia
Martha - b. 1857 in Missouri
John A. - b. 1858 in Missouri
Henry Thomas - b. 22 Aug. 1860 in Missouri
Nancy Jane - b. 1 Feb. 1863 in Missouri
Felix Sherman - b. 1865 in Missouri
Albert - b. 1866/67 in Missouri
Joseph W. - b. July, 1869 in Missouri
Mary L. - b. 1871 in Missouri
Amanda E.- b. 1873 in Missouri
Toy Jackson - b. January, 1876 in Missouri

Isaac lived in and around
Howell, Missouri for most of
his married life. He was
first married to Diana 'Wells.'
They were married in Tennessee.
Later this couple moved to Walker
County, Georgia, then to Missouri.

Isaac was Bly's postmaster for a
few years. He replaced Mr. Wright
on Feb. 2, 1897. Isaac was postmaster
eleven months. Using the 1880 census,
he would have been about 63 years
old at the time of his appointment
in 1897.

After the sudden illness of Diana,
he married Mrs. Johanna 'Rich.'
NOTE: I have a copy of an article about
the tragedy which let to Diana's death.
Isaac and Johanna were married the 14th
of Sept.,1892.

After Johanna's death, Isaac was married
the third and final time to Mrs. S. A.
Robinson.

There is a great deal of information on
Isaac and his life in Missouri. All has
been copied and recorded by this researcher
and another descendant of Isaac Long 11.

NOTE: More info later on Isaac's
bio. The date of his death is being
researched at this time and his
final resting place.

Diana is buried in the Oak Hill Mound
Cemetery. The cemetery book for the Oak
Mound Cemetery also list the following
information: Sometimes called Stumpsuck
Cemetery, this little cemetery is hard
to find and is no longer used for burial
purposes. There are 40 or more graves lost
in several acres of wooded lots, as none have
tombstones, only rocks for markers. It's
thought this could be the cemetery
Isaac Long 11 may be buried, next to his
first wife, Diana 'Wells' Long?
