Harold R. Allen, 51, of Julian, Boone County, died Feb. 28, 1989, at Boone Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was an Army veteran. Surviving: daughters, Brenda Peacock, Lesa Allen and Barbara Gloshen, all of Marlinton, Janet Gilkerson of Fayetteville, Teresa Allen of Columbus, Ga.; brothers, Ronald of California, Sidney of Sumerco, Calvin of Julian; sisters, Arizona Woodrum of West Virginia, Avelene Allen of Indiana, Pearl Joyce of Hurricane, Linda Harper and Emogene Fisher, both of Nitro; six grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Handley Funeral Home, Danville. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, MacCorkle. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
