Charles R. "Chuck" Bynum, 42, of Bristol Tennessee, died Sunday, May 23, 1999, in Johnson City. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a graduate Tennessee High School, where he was a member of the "Mighty Viking Band" and of the University of Tennessee, where he was a member of the band and the University of Tennessee Singers. He worked at the Australian Embassy in Washington, DC, and at Hamco Paper Products in Bristol. For the past several years he worked at WXBQ as a radio announcer known as "Chuck Roberts." He was an avid amateur radio operator.
