Freewater Rancher Dies At His Home. Steven Hankin, 68, fruit rancher of the Freewater district and resident of that community for 25 years, died Sunday at his home. He was born April 4, 1862. Surviving him are three daughters, Mrs. Bertha Rhea of Freewater, Mrs. J.P. Meyers of Freewater, and Mrs. R. L. Baker of Pasco, and two sons, J. D. Hankin of Portland and Thomas Hankin of Wallowa. Ten [grand]children are also living. Funeral services for the late Steven Hankin of Freewater will be at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at MacMartin & Chamberlain chapel. Interment Mt. View cemetery. The Rev. L. E. Brough will be in charge of the services.
