Alvina A. Raymer, 88 of Louisville, died Saturday, Dec. 27 at the Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Ky.
She was born on November 21, 1915 in Jefferson County, the daughter of Thomas Patrick and Sophia Christina Michael McGarrahan.
She was a housewife and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Middletown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William and one grandchild.
She is survived by three sons, Ken and Donald Raymer, both of Caneyville and Leonard Raymer of Shepherdsville, Ky.; and one daughter Beverly Elam of Louisville. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be Wednesday, Dec. 31 at 10 a.m. (EST) at the Fern Creek Funeral Home at 5406 Bardstorn Road in Louisville. Burial will be in the Louisville Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from noon until 8 p.m. Monday and at the Fern Creek Funeral Home from noon until 8 p.m. (EST) Tuesday, Dec. 30 (Grayson County News - Jan/6/2004).
