Daughter of John Alfred and Sarah Weber Riegel of Bernville, PA. She married William Bortz November 6th, 1893 at St Paul's United Church of Christ, Berks County, PA. They never had children. Annie survived intestinal cancer, but died from heart failure at 92. Her husband preceded her in death by 28 years. He is buried in Berks County and his headstone lists them both, including her death year, however, she is not buried next to him as planned. She rests in West Laurel Hill Cemetery with her brother Alfred, her Sister in Law Romaine, who cared for her until her passing and her nephew Frederick Sr.
