MATTOON - The funeral for Madeline Allen was Thursday at Schilling Funeral Home in Mattoon with the Rev. Don Roberts officiating. Burial was at Dodge Grove Cemetery in Mattoon. Pianist Valerie Gibson played "Amazing Grace" and "Beyond The Sunset." The pallbearers were Brandon Deremiah, Devin Deremiah, David Bowling, Mitchell Haddock, James Strowmatt, and Jim White. The honorary pallbearers were Albert Abbott, Brent Abbott, and Doug Abbott. Mrs. Allen, 87, of Windsor, formerly of Mattoon, died July 4, 2011, at her residence.
