Nicholas Rector
Nicholas Rector died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Minnie Auger, 13 Hope street, on Thursday, Feb. 12, at 7:30 p.m.
Mr. Rector was born at Cape Vincent, N.Y. on Dec 12, 1840. On Nov 25, 1869, he was united in marriage with Miss Cynthia Adams of Dexter, N.Y., who preceded him to the better home on July 4, 1919.
Mr. Rector came to Perry with his family about 30 years ago, and has made his home here since that time.
He is survived by three children; Mrs. Minnie Auger, Mrs. Geo. H. Willis and Everett Rector; also by one sister, Mrs. Esther Lane of Carthage, and by several grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from his late home on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Clara Morgan of the Universalist Church officiating. The remains were placed in the vault and interment will be made later in Glenwood Cemetery.
