He was born March 20, 1922 at Labelle, son of William Aaron and Martha Anglesey Hutchens. He married Fern Birch Feb. 23, 1964 in Boise. He attended school in Labelle and Rigby. He served in the Navy in World War II. He was formerly formerly foreman on a oil storage tank crew.
He had served as division manager for Sears until his retirement. He has lived the past 20 years in Boise until moving recently to Arizona.
Survivors are his wife Fern Hutchens of Phoenix, Arizona; a daughter, Rose VanEtten of Boise; three step-sons, Jarald McConnell of Flagstaff, Arizona; Lawrence McConnell and Alfred Morrissette, and step-daughters, Cherri Sarriughart, Donna Chaiken; three brothers, A W "Dutch" Hutchens of Labelle Bishop Fred Hutchens of Rigby and Ralph "Gib" Hutchens of Ririe; two grand children and 20 step grand children.
