Mrs. Zelma Heppner was born in Greensburg, KS to Frank and Lidia Dirks. When she was in the 7th grade her family moved to Winton, CA, where she lived most of her life. Zelma graduated from high school in 1937. Shortly after, she married her high school sweetheart Irvin Heppner. The last two years she and her husband have lived in Turlock. She was a Nurses Aide in the Nursery at Mercy Hospital in Merced. She enjoyed quilting and gardening. She attended Evangelical Free Church in Merced.
She is survived by her Husband-Irvin Heppner of Turlock, CA, Sons-Gary Heppner of Winton, CA, Glen Heppner of Idaho, Brothers-Lawrence Dirks of Arizona, Dillard Dirks of Turlock, CA, Forrest Dirks, four grandchildren, & ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Lidia Dirks, two brothers, and two sisters.
