Mr. Chris Michael Kelly, 54, of Aquilla died Sunday, August 28, 2011, at his residence. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at Whitney Memorial Park.

Chris Michael Kelly, 54 of Aquilla passed away on August 28, 2011 at his residence.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Whitney Memorial Park in Whitney with Rev. Bill Mayfield officiating.

Chris was born on July 15, 1957 in Dallas, Texas. He was the son of Virgil and Carole (Miller) Kelly. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and in his younger days he enjoyed racing his vehicles. Chris was of the Presbyterian faith.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carole and infant brother, Scott Wayne Kelly.

Survivors include his father, Virgil of Aquilla; brother, Richard Wayne Kelly of Aquilla; sisters, Marilyn LaVaune McKelvey of Ennis, Donna Wall of College Station; nephew, Joe McKelvey, III and wife, Myra of Plano; niece, Theresa LaVaune Terrazas and husband, Juan of Balch Springs; 4 great nephews and three great nieces.
