Aaron Walter Wyant, 39, Shawnee Mission, KS, passed away Saturday, September 17, at a Shawnee Mission, KS hospital.
He was born September 30, 1971 at the 92nd General Hospital, Landstuhl, West Germany to Staff Sergeant William W. and June Marie (Starmer) Wyant.
After returning to the United States and a short stay at Richards Gebaur Air Force Base, Aaron spent his younger childhood at Eagleville, MO before the family moved to Shawnee, Kansas where he resided until his death. Aaron worked in restaurants and at Powder Creek Gun Club with his father and sister before working in the construction trade.
Aaron loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and shooting clay targets. While working at the Powder Creek, he met Tony Adams who had a television series about hunting and fishing. Aaron and a friend, Chris Cagle did a show with Tony about fishing the Kaw River where they caught large flathead catfish often over 40 pounds. He assisted with the gun handling and training of the major cast members performing in the movie "Ride With The Devil".
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, and uncles. Aaron was the 21st grandchild of Tommy and Tessie Starmer and the first one to die.
Aaron is survived by a son, Noah Walter Wyant of Bonner Springs, Kansas; daughter, Shannon of Independence, MO; his parents, Bill and Marie Wyant (formerly of Shawnee, KS) now of Martinsville, MO; sister, Lisa Marie Wyant, nephews, Joshua and Nicholas Wyant and great-nephew Landon Wyant all of Saginaw, TX; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and numerous friends.
