William Frederick son of Frederick
and Minerva Mulch was born Dec.
8, 1863 near Waverly. Ill., and
died at his home near Munden.
August 12, 1938 at the age of 74 years,
8 months, and 4 days.
In 1882 he came with the James Deatheraqge
family to Republic, Co., living north
of Ida, and with the exception of a few
years in Thayer Co., Nebr., he has lived
in this county.
On September 7, 1890 he was
united in marriage to Minnie F.
Deatherage of Hubbell. To this
union were born ten children all
of whom are living,
His life's task has been that of
a farmer and any who had any
dealings with him found industry
a life principal actively lived. He had
always known good health until
his last sickness of seven weeks
duration. All that loving care
could do was given him.
Mr. Mulch was a member of
the Methodist church, having
joined in 1889 and later tranferring
to Munden. For 48 years he bad been a
member of the Masonic Lodge being the oldest
in the lodge at Munden, also the oldest
of the Eastern Star members,
Mr. Mulch was a devoted husband,
a companion to his children
and ever interested in their
welfare. Until the homecoming
during his recent sickness there
has been but one time in July, 1927
when the family were all together.
He is survived by his wife and
children Mrs. Nora Hughes of
Seibert, Colo., James Mulch of
Teaneck, N. Y.. Mrs. Dorothy Hall
of Hutchinson, Mrs, Marie Pricer
of Elias, Herschel and Wayne
Mulch of Grass Valley, Cal,, Mrs.
Mildred Waterson, Will H and
Kenneth Mulch of Munden; 26
grandchildren and four great
grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Jones,
Paris, Mo.; one brother
Frank Mulch of Mount Vernon
Ill.; other relatives and a host ,
of friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday
afternoon at the Methodist
church in Munden, conducted by
the Rev. F. I Courter and interment
was in the Maple Grove cemetery near
Narka where the Masonic lodge had charge.
