The funeral was scheduled for this afternoon at Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham, with burial in Arborcrest Memorial Park, Effingham. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Mr. Etter was born March 22, 1931, in Hardin, the son of Lee and Mildred (Squire) Etter.
He was an insurance salesman, a member of the Effingham American Legion Post and Effingham Marine Corps League Detachment, and a U.S. Marine veteran.
Surviving are his son, Mike of Effingham; daughter Mrs. Mike (Cynthia) Sowers of Effingham; mother of Hardin: sisters, Shirley Ducey of St. Charles, Mo., Audrey Johnson of Gleason, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.
