Helen C. (Quigley) Litz, 81 of Philipsburg died Friday May 13, 2011 at home.

Born on June 27, 1929, the daughter of the late James M. and Anna(Donahue) Quigley.

She was the wife of Edwin E. "Ned" Litz, whom she married on March 8, 1947 in Clearfield.

Mrs. Litz worked for Clearfield School District and the old Murphy's 5 & 10 in Clearfield. As of late, she did volunteer work for the Mercy Mission.

She attended West Side United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Litz enjoyed crocheting, working with plants especially her flowers and loved going for rides. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving are her husband, one son: Rodney Cris Litz and his wife, Linda of Ohio; two daughters: Lee Ann Zelensky, and her husband,Thomas of Wallaceton and Vicki Lynne Litz and her companion, Scott Smallridge of Colorado.

Also surviving are three sisters: Elizabeth "Libby" Metzger of Williamsport, Anna Marie Quigley of Grampian and Pauline Quigley of Grampian. Three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers: Thomas, Willard, Robert, Albert and Edward Quigley; two sisters: Josephine Cathcart and Maude Meconi.

Funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home, Inc. with Reverend John White officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.

Family and friends and will be received on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 7 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home. An additional viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10:00am until the time of service.

Memorial donations can be made to the Salvation Army,119 Byers Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
