At the age of 67, Joan Johnson died Oct. 19, 2008, at home in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
She was born in Atlantic City,NJ on August 2, 1941. She was the daughter of Minnie Bettis Thomas. She attended Pleasantville Public Schools and was employed as a certified nurse's aide at Meadowview Nursing Home in Northfield for more than 27 years. She loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed reading, cooking, shopping and enjoying life.
She was predeceased by her mother; brother, Arthur Thomas; and her son, Steve.
Survivors include two daughters and three sons, two brothers and four sisters, grandchildren; and a host of other family members.
Funeral services were Friday at Faith Baptist Church, Pleasantville. Interment followed in Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville.
