George Washington Haymond was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, February 3, 1826; died August 18, 1899, aged 73 years, 6 month and 15 days. He was married April 14, 1853, to Catharine Doak. The funeral services were conducted at the home, northeast of this place (Macksburg), by Rev. D. Martin, and the remains laid to rest in the cemetery south of town. He leaves a wife and family to mourn his loss.
