Mr. Pack was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late Carl and Mary Biddix Pack. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lydia Mathews and Elizabeth Miller and a brother Vernon Pack. He was retired from English and Blaylock Lumber Company.
He is survived by his sister, Betty Jean Mintz of Nanjemoy, MD, and several nieces and nephews, including Dell Miller and Barbara English, whom he raised from childhood as a father.
