Odessa Mae Bass, 65, died at 1 a.m. July 1, 1997, at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born June 22, 1932, in Leighton, Ala., to John H. and Laura B. King Bates. Her father survives in Leighton, Ala. On Dec. 12, 1951, she married James Bass, who survives. Mrs. Bass had her own business. She recently had been employed at General Motors, Defiance. She was a member of Liberty Temple Church, Lima. Survivors also include four sons, two daughters, three sisters, seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Mae Bass. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mount Olivet Church of God in Christ. Elder John Holly will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Siferd
