John F. Sykes m. Minnie Andrews, 13 Aug 1910, Hill County, TX

Funeral services for John F. Sykes, 55, who died at his home, 707 Pine street at 10:35 p.m. Friday will be conducted at the residence at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Rev. J. Fairs Nichols, pastor of Central Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Magnolia cemetery under direction of Pipkin & Brulin undertakers. Mr. Sykes had an electrical business on Pine street and had resided in Beaumont for the past 10 years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Minnie Sykes, a daughter, Miss Frankie Sykes, of Beaumont; two brothers, Rufus Sykes, of Burleson and Warren Sykes, of Hanley, and four sisters, two of whom are Mrs. Cordia Galtin, of Amarillo, and Mrs. Nora May, of Frederick, Oklahoma.
