Fairs Nichols, pastor of Central Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Magnolia cemetery under direction of Pipkin & Brulin undertakers. Mr. Sykes had an electrical business on Pine street and had resided in Beaumont for the past 10 years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Minnie Sykes, a daughter, Miss Frankie Sykes, of Beaumont; two brothers, Rufus Sykes, of Burleson and Warren Sykes, of Hanley, and four sisters, two of whom are Mrs. Cordia Galtin, of Amarillo, and Mrs. Nora May, of Frederick, Oklahoma.
