Hazel Grace Raley passed away on September 18, 2011 at Foxwood Springs. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 22, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO 64131 with entombment following the service. Hazel Grace Farrell was born November 30, 1911 the only child of the late Sylvia Walston and Ezra Farrell. She resided in the Central IL area most of her life. She had resided at the Foxwood Springs Retirement Center, Raymore, MO since 1999. Hazel married Roy Huffman, December 22, 1928 and had three children Esther (Bob) Wertenberger of Raymore, MO, and Olive (Del) Swearingen of McKinney, TX. Her son, James Huffman, died in an automobile accident in 1954. On July 4, 1949 Hazel married Chief Warrant Officer Clifford N. Raley. She is survived by her two daughters; daughter-in-law Alice Huffman Speck of Apache Junction, AZ; six grandchildren Kim (Brad) McPeak and Lisa (TH) Haltom of McKinney, TX, David (Evie) Bielfedlt of Plano, TX, Tony Wright of Independence, MO, Julie (Tom) Pitzenberger of Colorado Springs, CO, James (Robyn) Morris of Smith, AL, eight great-grandchildren; and five great- great-grandchildren.
