Mallie Baldwin Clark, Sr., died April 15, at his home on Tybee Island. He was born in Savannah and moved to Tybee Island in 1944. He was a 1943 graduate of Carlyle Military Academy in Bamburg, SC. He was the owner of Savannah Beach Ice Company and M. B. Clark Trucking Company. Survivors: his wife, Elinor H. Clark of Tybee Island; son and daughter-in-law, Mallie B. Clark, Jr. and Diane Clark of Tybee Island; daughters and son-in-law, Donna Clark Piper and Larry Piper of Tybee Island, Cheryl C. Solomon of Miami, FL; brother, Dr. Reamer Y. Clark of Marietta; sister, Grace Clark Fisher of Alpharetta; grandsons and granddaughter-in-law, Mallie B. Clark, III and Kathy Jo Clark of Austin, TX, Robert C. Bauman of Savannah; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Cassie Clark Martin and Anthony Martin of Savannah; great-granddaughters, Morgan Martin of Savannah, Ruby Ann Clark of Austin, TX and several nieces and nephews. Funeral was held on Thursday, April 18, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel with Dr. David Laughner officiating. Burial was in Bonaventure Cemetery.
