Wes Anderson was the oldest of three kids born to his parents Al and Ethelyn Brown Anderson. Though he is born in Minneapolis, the family moves north about 1932 and Wes grows up in Baudette, Minnesota. He marries Lenore Marchuk in 1946. They have a son and daughter together. Their son David dies at age 10 as the result of a sledding accident. Wesley Anderson dies in 1978 of lung cancer at the age of 54.
