Son of the Kansas City Jurist Dies
of Spinal Meningitis in the Klondike
Judge Turner A. Gill, of the Kansas City court of appeals, received a telegram yesterday announcing his son, George Shelly Gill, had died April 23, in the Klondike. The message was from Pascal Parker, a young man who went with Mr. Gill to Alaska March 1. The telegram was brief. It was sent from Victoria, B. C., and said that Mr. Gill died of spinal meningitis and that Mr. Parker was coming with the body to Kansas City. Mr. Gill was 24 years old. He was formerly treasurer of the Posey, Brobeck Mercantile Company.
