IN MEMORIAM.

W. L. Moseley died in Jefferson, Tex., March 13, 1907. He was born in Donaldsonville, S. C., July 26, 1843. Came to Texas in 1870, and was married to Miss Mattie Connor in Jan., 1873. He leaves a wife and four children, besides many relatives and friends to mourn his loss. Bro. Moseley has been in feeble health for some time, but his death was sudden and unexpected. He was confined to his bed scarcely twenty-four hours before the summons came. He was prepared to meet his Saviour in peace. Converted in 1872 he entered the blessed experience of perfect love in 1902.

He had only lived in Jefferson two or three years, yet such was his godly walk and conversation that he left the impress of his Christian character upon the community. Modest and retiring he did not make acquaintances rapidly, but hose who knew him best loved him most. He was a man who dared stand by his convictions of right and truth. He lived the faith he professed, exemplying [sic] in his daily walk the experience of perfect love he claimed. He kept the faith, fought the good fight, and hath received the crown. We miss his kind ministrations, his prayers, and godly counsel; but we sorrow, not as those who have no hope, because we shall see him again in the glory of our coming Lord. His body rests in Oakwood cemetery, awaiting the Resurrection morn, his Spirit rests in the Paradise of God.

To the faithful wife and loving children we extend most sincere, heartfelt sympathy. Their loss is the loss of us all, but Christ power to save and to keep to the uttermost has another witness, and heaven has another saint. We mourn his loss and rejoice in his triumph.
