Requiem mass for John N. Schneider who died Friday at his home in St. Paul were conducted Tuesday morning at St. Paul's Catholic church. Recitation of the rosary was at the church Monday evening.

Mr. Schneider was 75 years old, having been born at Alton, Iowa, June 27, 1883. He married Anna Friedmann January 10, 1910. In 1917 he came to Oregon with his family and lived at Mt. Angel two years, then moved to St. Paul where he started farming.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Anna Schneider, two sons, Milo and Albert Schneider of St. Paul; three daughters, Mrs. Irene Hiller and Mrs. Esther Bernards of St. Paul, and Mrs. Marie Goergen of Lebanon.

Also surviving are four brothers, Ed of Paulina, Iowa, Charles of Sleepy Eye, Minn., George of Granville, Iowa, and Chris of Alton, Iowa; five sisters, Mrs. Catherine Friedmann and Mrs. Anna Streff of Alton, Iowa, Mrs. Frances Ahlers of Granville, Iowa, Mrs. Clara Hodapp of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mrs. Hilda Blanchette of St. Paul; 26 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
